Thankful Thursday

Today I am feeling a little blue, trying to figure out what I should be doing with my life and what kind of work will make me happy. I think it is representative of my current stage of life. My children are young adults and don't require as much of my attention.  I am left to figure out how I am meant to contribute to this world. I think we have all had days like that. As I worked at my computer I was reminded of a really cool birthday gift I recently received from my brother and my nieces.

Check it out:

This really brightened my spirits today, so I want to show my gratitude to "TRR" for a very special gift that I will cherish forever. I love you guys and I miss you very much.

Valentine's Candy Topiari

Here is a perfect home decor project for Valentine's Day. I first made one of these about 8 years ago when my kids were younger and they loved it. They asked me everyday, when they could eat the candy.

I really like the way it looks in the foyer so I decided to make another one this year I think it's very festive. Even though my boys are now young men, they are still excited about Valentine's Day when I will let them eat the candy.

Here are the supplies you will need.

And here is a video to help you make your own.

Hello Monday

I have mixed emotions today. My Ravens fell a little short of the Superbowl with a heart breaking loss yesterday against the Patriots. I was really looking forward to hosting a Raven's versus Giants Superbowl party. BUT!!! I am still smiling from the wonderful Belated Birthday Party Crop I hosted on Saturday. Seven wonderful ladies braved the weather to join me for a fun-filled day of crafting. We talked, we laughed, we sang, we ate, we drank, we danced and yes we scrapbooked. I can't wait to do it again.

Scrapbook Projects as Gifts

I love to give handmade gifts to my family and friends, it is one of the coolest things about the scrapbooking hobby. Photos that have a special meaning will always make an excellent gift, so I used these photos of my friend Sue and her daughters to create a digital layout that she will cherish for many years to come.  I put it in a beautiful frame and she LOVED IT!

My Girls by Camille. Supplies: Template: Tiffany Tillman (25 Day Summer #10_19);
Digital Paper and Embellishments: Val C. Designs (100% Me); Software: Photoshop CS5.

Don't forget to use your talent to create one-of-a-kind handmade gifts for those you care about. They will love it.

Go RAVENS

I know I've been silent for a little while but it's because I've been so crazy busy. I was hoping to have a few layouts to share with you but instead of scrapbooking I was busy watching football this weekend.

And my team WON!!!!!!!!

I hope to have something to share later this week.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Before 2011 is gone I want to share a double page layout I created with some of our many Christmas photos. We had such a wonderful Christmas just hanging out together as a family. I really hope you also had a great holiday.

Happy New Year. I'll be back in 2012!

Thankful Thursday

Last night I enjoyed some real quality time with my husband and youngest son. We exercised together, lifting weights and doing stomach exercises. It was another reminder of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family.  On this Thankful Thursday I say Thank You Lord for my family.
