No Place Like Home

Even at my current age, when life gets too heavy I just need a hug from my mommy. Thank God I still have her here to comfort me through these moments. This past weekend I went home just for that, a little mommy and me time. I found myself wanting to capture the essence of home through my camera lens so I took a bunch of pictures and created this.

Home by Camille. Digital Paper: Scooty's Design (Remember this year); Template: Yin Designs (#148).

I really enjoyed myself; shopping, eating and just plain old chillin'. I didn't realize I missed so many of the little things about home.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here is this week's edition of Template Tuesday where I featured my beautiful little niece and her cousin. I feel like I should have done a little more with this one but I couldn't figure it out.

Scraps of Color Blog Hop Day 2

I am glad you're here for my second addition to the weekend blog hop. I trust you are finding plenty of inspiration from the design team. Today I have an altered project to share with you.

This is another example of how you can use digi products (especially the freebies) in your paper projects. I printed my digi sticker on cardstock to use as the finishing touch on this project.  I altered this clipboard as a daily reminder of the happy moments in my life.

Altered Wooden Clipboard by Camille. Supplies: Photos, Acrylic Paint, Mod Podge (Matte Finish),
Ribbon, Dymo Label, Cardstock, Bling, Digi Sticker (Camille at E:spire).

This is a great project to use up some of your extra photos. Here is how I did it.

I really hope you try this. Remember to leave me a comment and/or follow my blog for your chance to win a really great prize.  Come back tomorrow for another cool project.

If you are still following the hop continue on here.

Scraps of Color Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Scraps of Color Creative Team Blog Hop! Join us for a weekend of fun, creativity and prizes. All weekend long we will inspire you with inspiring projects and clever ideas. This is my project for today.

I created this card by cropping a portion of a digital layout I did for our premiere issue of E:spire. I think this is a really cool idea to really get the most of your digital layouts. You can resize or use just a section of a layout to create a greeting card. In this case I printed this on card stock, distressed the edges and added ribbon and bling to make a lovely card.

I will be posting a different project each day this weekend so come back again tomorrow. On Sunday evening I will draw a name for a great prize giveaway. To be entered all you have to do is leave me a comment and/or become a follower of my blog. I will give you one entry for a comment and an additional entry for following. (For my current followers...don't worry, you have earned your extra entry.)

Thanks so much for playing along. Until tomorrow.

Template Tuesdays

In this edition of Template Tuesday I grabbed a photo from the archives....ok...well maybe not exactly the archives, but I did grab a photo from 2008. This was Frankie's idea for Wacky Tacky Day at his high school. I thought I would try extracting the picture to emphasize the focal point so I have his hair extending beyond the border of the photo. Thanks to my awesome and very cool son JT, the Photoshop student, I was able to learn how to do this. Thanks for the tutoring baby.

Template Tuesdays

I have been crazy busy lately so I haven't had much to share. As soon as my life slows down a bit I will have to do better. My goal is to at least complete the Template Tuesday layout from jessicasprague.com every week. So here we go, this is JT and his best friend. We took this picture while celebrating JT's 16th birthday. Hope you like it.

Template Tuesdays

I kinda like the sound of Template Tuesdays...it has a nice ring to it.  I created this layout with the latest freebie from Jessica Sprague. I just love freebies! I also love following yesterday's post with an older picture of my now sixteen year old baby. I love this template, I think I will use it again and again. Hope you like it.
